Stonelake Real Estate
Stonelake is a quiet, private, upscale community in west Elk Grove. A large, pristine neighborhood, it is surrounded on three sides by open land, including the Stonelakes National Wildlife Refuge, a 2,500-acre habitat for migrating fowl and shorebirds.
Homes in Stonelake are large and aesthetic, and range in size and style, but flow together seamlessly, helping to create a unified landscape of family homes. The streets are wide and kids can be found riding their bikes freely to a number of parks, including Laguna Stonelake Community Park and Glen Houde Park.
Glen Houde Park wraps around the clubhouse and features a half basketball court and two tennis courts, as well as a playground and an extensive grassy area. The clubhouse serves as a gathering place for many residents. It features a pool (and children’s wading pool) and fitness center. Club activities include karate classes (for all ages), swim lessons, yoga, and boot camp and Zumba classes. There are also community-wide rummage sales and e-waste drop-offs, breakfast with Santa, movie nights, and family game nights.
A number of excellent schools, including Stonelake Elementary School are nearby, and Elliot Ranch Elementary and Peekaboo Daycare are located within the community. A number of shopping areas are just minutes away.
Elk Grove is located just south of Sacramento, 15 miles from historic Sutter’s Fort and the Sacramento Zoo. It is an ideal community for families, surrounded by wetlands and open space, yet just minutes from the urban amenities of Sacramento. Popular events include the Elk Grove Western Festival, Strauss Festival, Giant Pumpkin Festival, Dickens Faire, and holiday festival of lights and tree lighting.
